I'm new here, and am looking for some advice on how to fix the issue I have with one of my HMI process computers. The operating system is Windows XP Pro SP2, The computer running the OS is a Dell T3500. The issue I have is as soon as I power up the tower upon start up the computer automatically runs a disk check on D drive. If I opt out of the check by pressing "any Key" the computer just goes into a sleep mode and fails to boot.
if I choose to let the disk check run the computer again fails to boot and goes into a sleep mode. I've tried replacing the SATA cables going to D drive and re-seating the power cord as well. I do not have a strong background in computers, juts enough knowledge to usually get me by. I looked online for solutions, but all of which assumed the computer actually booted up, which mine does not.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
